The forecast for Friday evening calls for the possibility fo 2-4 inches of the white, wet stuff before all is said and done.

The news hit CNN a bit ago; I'm still in shock.

The man whose mellow 4-octave voice crooned out such hits as "You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine" and "Bring It On Home To Me" by Sam Cooke, has died of brain and lung cancer at the age of 72.

He said that everything looks to be in tip-top shape and that I was a "textbook" case when it came to how easily the procedure went and my recovery from it.

Final numbers were 270 and 45 in the cantata choir. We almost thought about opening up the overflow area in the back; but in the end, the side areas were able to seat everyone and everything worked out wonderfully.

Anyways, here's an update on my nose surgery (for a deviated septum)--I go in on Monday, December 12th, at 7:30AM. The procedure should take about 60-90 minutes, and I come home that same day.
